RCNi nominated for prestigious awards

RCNi has been shortlisted for four prestigious awards designed to recognise the best of digital publications.

The Professional Publishers’ Association (PPA) awards celebrate digital excellence in a number of different categories.

The company launched our online platform, rcni.com, in March and has been named alongside established organisations such as BBC and Radio Times in the New Website of the Year category.

Daily news, blogs, and original information about issues such as revalidation are featured on the site, along with content from Nursing Standard and RCNi's nine specialist journals.

An online portfolio tool, which is free to journal subscribers or available as a standalone product, has also proved popular with nurses and midwives.

Since March, more than 35,000 people have signed up to the site.

RCNi's other three nominations are for Digital Publishing Company of the Year, Digital Brand of the Year and Development Team of the Year.

The winners of the 17 categories will be announced at a gala dinner at the Intercontinental Park Lane hotel, in London, on November 25.

RCNi editorial director Graham Scott said: ‘We are extremely proud of our new digital ventures and to receive recognition like this in only our first year is particularly welcome news.

‘Our team works tirelessly to ensure our platforms are innovative and user-friendly and we look forward to the big night next month to see if that work will be rewarded even further.’
