Nursing students from Glasgow Caledonian University were among friends who organised a memorial service to mark the first anniversary on April 12 of the murder of nurse Karen Buckley.
The private ceremony was organised by the School of Health and Life Sciences, where Ms Buckley had been taking a postgraduate qualification. The 24-year-old from Cork, Ireland, worked as a nurse in Essex before moving to Glasgow to further her training.
She was murdered by Alexander Pacteau, 21, after spending the evening with friends in Glasgow.
Pacteau was sentenced to life in prison.
