It's not too late to apply for a Nightingale travel scholarship

Florence Nightingale Foundation travel scholarships are a great way for nurses and midwives to study good practice elsewhere in the UK or overseas

Travel scholarships of up to £5,000 each are on offer to nurses and midwives to undertake study on an aspect of practice and/or education in the UK or overseas.

The Florence Nightingale Foundation awards are open to nurses of all disciplines, but the organisation especially aims to support work looking at long-term conditions (including dementia), end of life care, clinical leadership and enhancing patient dignity and wellbeing ‘across the whole life course’.

Previous recipient Angela Knight Jackson said: ‘I would encourage all nurses to apply for these scholarships. They enabled me to develop a deeper interest in research, which I can now apply in my practice area.’

The scholarships are available to nurses or midwives who have current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council and who work and are resident in the UK.

Closing date for applications is July 29. Click here for information on how to apply
