Discounted cinema tickets on offer to nurses

Rewards for Rescue is offering hefty discounts on cinema tickets to nurses

Nurses are being offered discounts of up to 40% on film tickets at hundreds of cinemas across the UK and Ireland.

The scheme involving 350 cinemas is run by the Rewards for Rescue website, which gives discounts to public sector workers who help save people’s lives, including NHS staff, firefighters, sea and mountain rescue services, and air ambulance workers.

Cinema chains including Cineworld, Empire and Showcase are taking part.

A spokesperson for Rewards for Rescue, which also offers discounts for shops, restaurants and leisure activities, said: ‘The cinema discounts won’t just be for 1am showings in certain cinemas, but for films at any time all over the UK. To register, nurses just need to put in certain details about their work area.’

The level of discount varies between cinemas. Rewards for Rescue is not a charity, and makes profits through advertising.
