Drug Safety Research Unit aims to record any side effects that can be linked to vaccinations

Nurses are being invited to participate in a study to monitor the safety of COVID-19 vaccines.

The study, by the independent Drug Safety Research Unit, is hoping to recruit at least 10,000 people from the first priority groups to receive COVID-19 vaccines, including people aged over 50 and healthcare professionals such as nurses.

Recording and understanding side efffects

The aim of study is to record any side effects that can be linked to the vaccines.

People can sign up to take part in the study before they receive a COVID-19 vaccination or up to 28 days afterwards.

After receiving their vaccination, participants will be asked to fill out an initial questionnaire, followed by more questionnaires over a period of 18 months.
