Securing mental health clinical placements for nursing students in Canada is becoming more difficult due to several factors, including increased student enrolments. To address this challenge, the authors designed an online clinical mental health course, for a Post-Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to Bachelor of Nursing (BN) programme, using Adobe Connect. This article describes the development and implementation of the first version of the course, and the educational underpinnings of the initiative. It also discusses the challenges encountered during the project and students' evaluation of the course.
