Developing time management skills: tips for nursing students

Effective time management is crucial in nursing, and honing your skills as a nursing student will help prepare you for working as a registered nurse. Good time management skills will help students stay on top of coursework, personal commitments, clinical placements and eventually the demands of a nursing role, including revalidation with the Nursing and Midwifery Council and mandatory training. We look at five simple but effective strategies and techniques to support nursing students’ time management, including prioritising self-care and building in ‘wiggle room’ for course assignments.
