'Wholesale replacement' needed on deprivation of liberty safeguards
Law Commission's reveiw suggests overhaul and reforms to the law regarding mental capacity and deprivation of liberty
The Law Commission’s review of deprivation of liberty safeguards suggests that they need ‘wholesale replacement’ and reforms to the law.
Following a four-month consultation, the commission issued a statement saying that legislative change is ‘the only satisfactory solution’.
