Uber is once again offering discounted rides and meals to nurses and other NHS staff over the festive period.

On Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, UK health service staff can claim two trips worth up to £10 each to and from work, plus a £10 meals or grocery delivery, via their Uber or Uber Eats account.

This will be the sixth year Uber has run a festive offer for front-line staff over the holidays, with thousands of people taking advantage last year.

Making travel ‘one less thing to worry about’ for nurses

Uber UK and Ireland general manager Andrew Brem said: ‘Our brilliant NHS has seen us through a pandemic and now thousands of staff will be working through Christmas.

‘We want to make sure that travel is one less thing to worry about by offering a discounted ride to and from work.’

How to apply for discounts

The offer is open to all NHS staff in England, Scotland and Wales, and Health and Social Care (HSC) staff in Northern Ireland.

To be eligible, you need an NHS or HSC email address.

Nurses must ensure that their Uber or Uber Eats account is linked to their NHS or HSC email, and users will then be sent a promotional code to claim the offer.
