Meeting mental health needs count us in!

Jill Davies Research Programme Manager, The Foundation for People with Learning Disabilities and Hazel Morgan, Head of the Foundation for People with Learning Disabilities

Count Us In is a new report from a year-long inquiry into meeting the mental health needs of young people with learning disabilities. Jill Davies and Hazel Morgan from the foundation for people with learning disabilities outline the report’s main findings

In October 2001 the Foundation for People with Learning Disabilities convened a year- long inquiry to explore a woefully neglected area: the mental health needs of young people with learning disabilities. Focusing on people aged 13-25 years, the inquiry committee sought to examine the needs of a group who are four times as likely to develop mental health problems than others their age.
