Advanced Nursing Practice: Changing Healthcare in a Changing World
THIS BOOK’S early chapters offer an overview of the evolution of advanced nursing practice from UK and international perspectives, with fascinating insights into the evidence base and history of the role.
The chapter on education will be of particular interest to those undertaking studies and running courses, while those on advanced assessment, clinical decision making and non-medical prescribing are well written and engaging.
My only criticism is that each chapter is written by a different contributor, leading to some repetition of themes and content.
Readers may find it best to dip in and out of this book, or use it as a reference guide. I would recommend it for university libraries, researchers, academics and staff aspiring to be advanced nursing practitioners.
