The perimenopause and menopause can have a significant impact on women’s professional and personal lives.

With nine in ten nurses being women, and a third (37%) of the workforce aged 41 to 55 , according to Nursing and Midwifery Council figures , a significant proportion of the profession will be navigating this time of their life right now or in the near future.

NHS England has published guidance to boost awareness and improve the experience of staff.
