Time is running out for you to have your say in Nursing Standard and charity Marie Curie’s annual end of life care survey for nursing staff.

The survey, now in its fifth year, aims to uncover nurses’ experiences of caring for people at the end of life.

This year, the survey focuses on care during the COVID-19 pandemic, and advance care planning.

Questions include:

  • In your experience, since the start of the pandemic, are patients more likely to have an end of life plan in place?
  • During the pandemic, what have been the main barriers to providing end of life care?
  • How confident do you feel about having to initiate a conversation about end of life care needs and wishes with a patient?

Share your experiences in our Nursing Standard-Marie Curie survey

Marie Curie is the UK’s leading charity providing care to people with any terminal illness, either in their own homes or in one of its nine hospices.

The survey is open to all registered nurses, healthcare assistants and nursing associates in the UK, and closes at 5pm on 27 September.

Everyone who completes the survey can opt in to enter a prize draw to win one of ten M&S vouchers worth £50 each.
