Insecticides are used in a variety of settings: on farms, in the workplace, in the home and garden and medicinally. In agriculture they are used to control insects that reduce productivity in livestock, destroy crops and carry diseases. Insecticides may be used in the workplace e.g. to kill cockroaches or fleas.
