There is only a week left to enter the UK's most prestigious nurse awards and be in with a chance of being the Nurse of the Year in this, the Year of the Nurse and Midwife.

The RCNi Nurse Awards 2020 is offering nurses, nursing students and nursing support workers throughout the UK the opportunity to share their innovations and expertise while boosting their work's profile and highlighting its impact on patient care and outcomes.

Managers can show how much they appreciate individual nurses or teams by nominating them.

Enter the RCNi Nurse Awards 2020

RCN president Anne Marie Rafferty called on all members of the nursing team from all corners of the UK to shine a light on nursing excellence.

'Don’t be shy – shine!' she said. 'The RCNi Nurse Awards are a great way to showcase nursing’s stars in this special year – the Year of the Nurse and Midwife.’

Entries are open to individuals and teams in the 12 categories listed below, covering the diversity of nursing.

The RCN Nurse of the Year 2020 will be chosen from the category winners, all of which will be announced at a ceremony in London on 8 July.

The deadline for entries is 7 February.
