This is an evaluative case study comparing the treatment of two patients with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma (NHL). It focuses specifically on the care provided by a Macmillan Haematology Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) in preparation for peripheral blood stem cell transplantation (PBSCT). It highlights the very different information needs of these two clients and their families, and the implications for nursing practice.
